The honest answers. Including the things it doesn’t do.
It’s your photo, edited. The model is told to keep the room itself, walls, floor, windows, doors and built-in cupboards, and change only what you asked for. It gets this right most of the time, not every time. When it changes something it shouldn’t, mark that thing as “keep” and try again, or go back a version; nothing is ever overwritten.
No. One photo is the whole setup. Roomtry is an image editor for a real room, not a 3D planner, so it won’t tell you whether a 200 cm sofa fits a 190 cm wall. Check sizes with the shop before you buy.
Yes. Attach a photo of the product, or pin it as a reference, and say “replace the bed with this one”. The result is a good likeness, not a catalogue render.
It looks at the spot you pinned, writes a plain description of what’s there, and searches for products like it from shops that deliver to your country, with well-known retailers first. They’re similar items, not an identification of the exact one, and the price shown is what the page said at the time.
Yes. End a message with a question mark, like “What colour rug would work here?”, and you get an answer about your room in words, not another picture. Questions are free.
No. Follow-ups work the way you’d say them: “lighter” after “make the bed grey” is sent as “make the bed a lighter grey”. When a message is reworded like that, you see exactly what was sent.
What an edit costs. A simple edit, like removing a chair or repainting a wall, is 1 credit; a creative one, a new look or a bigger change, is 3; another take, the same request given to a different model, is 7. Starting a room from a description and a product search are 4 each, and the price is always shown before you send. Uploading photos, questions, pins, links, comparing and comments are free, and credits you buy never expire.
Each home is its own $29 pass, with its own 600 credits, and the credits are shared across your homes. You don’t need Studio for a second home. Studio is for people who do this for clients.
